Robert Barrett

Robert B. Barrett, 68, of Kingston Mines passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on September 8, 1946 in Peoria the son of Robert E. and Irene Trastle Barrett. He married Kathy Lanan on September 28, 1981 in Kingston Mines.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter Angela (Steve) Payne of Peoria and one son Erik (Tami) Barrett Kirkland, IL; grandchildren Jackie, and Josie Payne and Cassie and Harrison Barrett. His parents, one sister Shirley and brother in-law Charles Turner and one nephew Rick Turner preceded him in death.

Bob had many loves including bowling, golfing and riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by all.

Bob was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked for Lumberyard Suppliers for many years retiring in March of 2015.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11am Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Kingston Mines United Methodist with Rev. Rick Jordan officiating. Visitation will be one-hour prior to his service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to the Kingston Mines Fire Department, Kingston Mines United Methodist Church or to Mt.
