Robert L. Deatherage

Robert L. Deatherage, 48, of Pekin passed away at 1:41pm Tuesday July 19, 2011 in the emergency room as OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born to Tena M. and Robert L. Deatherage Sr. in Wichita Falls Texas, one of four children. He attended Pekin Community High School and was a member of the U.S. Army until 1988. After living in California and Texas he settled back in Peoria in 1990. Surviving by his four children, Charlie, Ashley, Steven and Emily. His mother Tena Tucker, his Brother Mark, and Sister Tonya Narayan, all of Nashville Tennessee. His Grandmothers Florence L McNeeley, and Catherine Deatherage, both in Peoria, and his best friend and the mother to 2 of his children Beth Harris. He was a good friend, loving son and brother, and devoted father. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Deatherage Sr. his Brother Steven and both grandfathers Vernon L. Deatherage, and Dale Gerald McNeeley, Bobby loved fishing, boating, and playing pool. He was the " life of the party" and the " class clown". He was always the great protector to his family and friends, and we will miss him dearly, and forever hold him in our thoughts and hearts. Cremation Rites have been accorded by Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Peoria. Memorial services are scheduled for 1pm Friday August 5, 2011 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Chapel with the Rev. James Lillie officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until his time of service. Memorials may be made to the Steven and Emily Deatherage Education Fund established at any Southside Bank Bank location.
