Robert Easterling

Robert J. Easterling, 67, of Morton passed away at 5:48am, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Unity Point Health Proctor in Peoria. He was born on February 13, 1949 in The Hague, Netherlands, son of Gene and Anne Pronk Easterling. He married Patricia Honicker Rubeck on September 1, 1995 in Decatur, Il. Surviving are his wife, his mother Anne Easterling of Zirconia, NC, two daughters Rebecca (Jason) Fair of Elburn, IL and Jill (Doug) Clifton of Mt. Zion, IL; one son Kyle (Gabi) Rubeck of North Aurora, IL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; Olivia, Kate and Paige Fair; Corbin, Allysa and Jack Clifton; Declan and Pierce Rubeck. Further surviving are one sister Ellen (Mike) McMillan of Zirconia, NC; one niece Liberty McMillan and one nephew Darien McMillan along with one sister-in-law and brother-in-law Molly (Rick) Thompson of Macon, IL and nieces Sarah Hagan and Kristie Cummins Barnett. Preceding Robert in death were his father and one brother. Robert was a sales manager at Johnson Food Service and Equipment in Pekin, IL. He was a devoted family man whose love for all was immeasurable. He was an avid golfer and will be missed by all who were so fortunate to know him. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials in his name may be given to American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
