Robert "Bob" Hrdlicka

Robert W. "Bob" Hrdlicka, 72, of rural Chillicothe passed away at 11:45am, Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1944 to Robert J. and Kay Working Hrdlicka. He married Glenda Linn on February 8, 1969 in East Peoria, IL. Surviving are his wife; three sons Bill Hrdlicka, Bob (Laurie) Hrdlicka and John Cummings; and one daughter Theresa Tarpley. Also surviving are 8-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; one brother Craig (Pam) Hrdlicka; two sisters Mary Ann (Jerry) Broadfield and Sharon Morgan along with one sister in law Lee Hrdlicka. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jim Hrdlicka. Bob graduated from East Peoria High School in 1962. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force being honorably discharged in 1967. Bob then worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 2002 as a draftsman. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and loved his dogs Rosie and Domino. Bob will be remembered for his kind, gentle and giving nature. His family will miss him greatly and forever grateful for the many years they were blessed to have him as a husband, father grandfather great grandfather and brother. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Bob's life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at their home, 11528 Riverview Rd in rural Chillicothe, IL.
