Robert J. Tipton

Robert J. Tipton, 90, of Peoria passed away at 7:33 pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, Il.

He was born on July 09, 1929, in Alamo, TN, the son of John D. and Emma S. McKinnon Tipton.

He married Donna J Markland on October 16th, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. Surviving are his daughter, Sheryl (Marty) Goble of Metamora. Also, surviving are two grandsons, Jared (Missy) Utley and Tyler (Jessica) Utley and 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 nieces, Becky Markland-Doubleday, Kate Markland-Nelson. His wife, one son, one daughter, one brother, and one infant grand-daughter preceded him in death.

Robert served in the U.S. Airforce from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1957. He was a self-employed salesman for several years. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, a member of Grandview Masonic Lodge # 1112 AF @ AM in Peoria Heights. He also was a member of the Kilty Band.
