Roland Lahne

Roland Wilbert Lahne, 89, of East Peoria, IL died of natural causes Friday, December 6, 2024.

A memorial service will be held 10 am on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Mason-White Funeral Home, 20 Valley Forge Dr., Washington, IL. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton following his service. We request no flowers or plants; any monetary contributions may be made to Kelly Goodhue 111 Walela Lane, Loundon, TN 37774. Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services of Central Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements.

He used to race motorcycles in his youth, worked as a carpenter at his family's businesses Builders Specialty Company (325 SW Washington St., Peoria, IL) and Lahne's Tile & Door Service (Cloverdale, East Peoria, IL), he was a machinist at Caterpillar (East Peoria, IL) until his retirement where he then mowed lawns.

He was a skilled woodworker and for many years sported a handlebar mustache. In his 70's he completed the Iron Butt Ride SaddleSore 1000.

Roland is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Elizabeth Lahne and his three siblings Robert Lahne, Delores Haskett, and Richard Lahne. Surviving are Mary Rosann (Wright) Lahne, wife; Kelly (Lahne) Goodhue, daughter; James Hedges, Daniel Hedges and David Hedges, step-sons; Kramer and Ian Hedges, grandsons; Scarlett and Autumn Hedges, great-granddaughters.
