Romulo Umale

Romulo Y. Umale, 91  a retired Psychiatrist, died peacefully on December 2, 2021 in Peoria, Illinois.

Remo was born on December 2, 1930 in Pagsanjan Laguna, Philippines.  Single, unmarried, with no children, he was the youngest brother of 10 children to Santiago T. Umale and Matilde J. Yaneza.   He is survived by his two sisters, Lillia U. Grimalt and Fe U. Villa-Real, nephews and nieces.

He worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, N.B. Canada, Zellar Hospital and State Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.   He was past President of Filipino American Society of Central Illinois (FASCI).  He loved to travel, played piano, and enjoyed classical music.  Peoria was home for Remo.

Cremation services arranged by Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services in Peoria, IL.  Memorial Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Peoria.  Final interment will be held privately in Pagsanjan Laguna, Philippines.
