Ronald E. Brown

Ronald E. Brown-CMSGT Ret, 64, of Bartonville passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 5, 1950 in Peoria the son of the late Bill and Doris Shallenberger Brown. He married Carolyn Haugh on February 20, 2002 in Peoria. Surviving are his wife, one son Sean (Tracy) Brown, one daughter Amie (Eric) Janski, stepchildren Melissa (Donnie) Hampton, Tracy Turl, and Joshua (Erin) Haugh as well as 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother Roby (Lisa) Brown, two sisters Cyndi (Brian) Pettow and Lorri (Patricia) Brown. A Graduate of East Peoria High School, Ron was in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He then enlisted the Illinois Air National Guard retiring in 2002 as Chief Master Sergeant from the 182nd Air Lift Wing. He was a member of American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville and was currently employed by Paramount Amusements in Bartonville. Ron had many enjoyments in life including trap shooting, fishing, reading books on history and military. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Ron's life will be announced at a later date.
