Ronald W. Cato, 77, of Eureka, IL, passed away at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria, IL.

He was born on December 29, 1946, in Herrin, IL, the son of Charles and Nina Casali Cato. He married Junie R. Bailey on June 17, 1972, in Eureka. IL.

His wife and two sons, Tim (Roxy) Reese of East Peoria, IL and Bryan (Michelle) Cato of Washburn, IL, are surviving. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He is further survived by one sister, Elaine Dildine of Westchester, IL. His parents, one daughter, Tracey Reese and, one brother, Charles, two grandsons, Nathan Belcher and Jesse Reese, all preceded him in death,

Ron was a self-employed welder for most of his life.

Ron enjoyed fishing, his 4 Wheeler and being around his family and close friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
