Ronald "Spider" D. Meinders, 76, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at his home in Bartonville, IL.

He was born on August 1, 1945, in Peoria to John and Eleanor (Behrends) Meinders. He married Sue Meinders July 17, 1989, in Las Vegas, NV.

He is survived by his wife, brother, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous cousins as well as his hunting and fishing buddies and long-time friends John Lane and Harry Ulrich.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Donnie) and sister (Judy Grebner).

Ron worked at Caterpillar for 36 years retiring as a Torque Specialist in August, 2002 from the East Peoria plant.

Ron was well known in the area for his business, Ron's Taxidermy.  His passion for bow hunting was acknowledged through numerous championships that he had won. He enjoyed teaching anyone who wanted to learn about archery, tuning bows and setting up arrows.  He also enjoyed fishing during the summer at Banner Marsh.

Per Ron's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
