Rush A. Taylor Jr., 95, of Peoria passed away at 6:40pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Heartland Healthcare Center of Peoria. He was born on November 10, 1921 in Brownsburg, IN. the son of the late Rush A. and Rose M. Duncan Taylor Sr. He married Jeanne Rice October 22, 1948 in Brownsburg, IN. Surviving are his wife, one son Louis (Nanette) Taylor of Pickerington, OH along with 2 granddaughters Alyssa (Forrest) Husted and McKenzie Taylor all of Columbus, OH. Also surviving is one brother Richard (Diane) Taylor of Birmingham, AL. and extended Family Penny Wex of New Providence, PA; and Jeff (Stephanie) Sanchez and their daughter Kelly all of Arlington Heights, IL. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII. He worked for Pabst Brewing Company and later worked for Nauman Controls in Peoria before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Central Illinois Banjo Club and the American Legion Post #2 in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate his life will be from noon until 2pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at the American Legion Post #2, 110 E. McClure Ave Peoria, with Military Rites concluding his service.
