Sally J. England

Sally J. England, 63, East Peoria passed away at 12:21 pm on Friday December 7, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on August 7, 1949 in Peoria the daughter of Ray and Roberta Price Owens. She married Roy E. England on February 16, 1990 in Peoria. Surviving Sally, are her husband, their children, Jason England of Peoria, Nancy (Robert) Kaminski of Pekin, Rochelle (James) Helberg of East Peoria, and Amanda (Kevin) Herrin of Creve Coeur. Also surviving are her grandchildren Larissa England, Andrew and Audrey Herrin as well as three nephews, two nieces and her best friend of 50 years Yvonne (Jim) Buchanan of Peoria. Her parent's one son and one sister preceded her in death. She was a 1968 graduate of Woodruff High School, later attending ICC, and in 1983 obtained her Associate Degree from the Nursing Program. Sally worked at Sharon Willow Nursing Home in Peoria as well as Snyder Village in Metamora for 8 years. She was a devoted wife loving mother, grandmother, and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included collecting Longaberger Baskets, riding ATV's, canning, and prepping. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Dresden, OH with her best friend Yvonne, as well as the family vacation to the Current River to canoe every year. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, buying gifts, decorating, setting up village displays and wrapping gifts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to our loving neighbors Rick (Melissa) Mathis and Jeff (Linda) Williams. Cremation Rites have been accorded with a Memorial Service scheduled for 1pm Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Real Life Church 106 Grant St. Marquette Heights with Rev. Jesse Bartz officiating. There will be no visitation.
