Obituary

Sally Anne Martin, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 17, 1946, Sally lived a life rooted in kindness, laughter, faith, and deep devotion to those she loved.

Sally was the beloved wife of Michael Martin and a loving mother to her three daughters, Pamela, Patricia, and Michelle. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. Her love reached far beyond words, and she made sure everyone around her always felt cared for, welcomed, and deeply loved.

Known for her humor, sass, warm heart, and unforgettable spirit, Sally had a way of making every person feel special. She treasured the simple and beautiful moments in life - sitting on the porch at the lake with her husband Mike, watching the boats drift by, dancing with family and friends, and making memories with the people she loved most.

One of Sally's most cherished traditions was creating magical pirate treasure hunts for her grandchildren every Labor Day, leaving behind memories they will carry with them forever. Her family will always remember her laughter, her caring nature, and the little sayings that became part of who she was - "Shoosh" "I love you more," and "I hope you dance."

Sally was a devoted member of New Life Church and spent many years serving others as a case worker for DuPage Township, where her compassion and generosity touched countless lives.

Above all else, Sally loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her favorite memories were made at the lake with family and friends and during vacations spent alongside her beloved husband Mike. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love, traditions, and joy she gave to others will continue on through every life she touched.

A memorial visitation for Sally will be held on June 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at American Legion Post 452, 121 W. Knoxville St. in Brimfield, Illinois.

Family takes comfort in knowing that Sally's love will remain with them always - in every dance, every sunset over the lake, every laugh shared on the porch, and every whispered "I love you more." Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services, Peoria has been entrusted with arrangements.
