Sandra K. Devault

Sandra K. (Gingery) DeVault of Chillicothe, IL, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria in after a lengthy illness. She was born in December 8, 1945 to Frank E. and Betty Brading Nordwall Gingery. Sandy was raised by Betty and Harry Nordwall, both of whom preceded her in death. Her husband, Kenneth, also preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons: John Kneiry (Gina) of Springfield, Kenneth of Chillicothe, Jeremy (Amanda) of Peoria, and grandchildren Dominic and Lily. Also, surviving are her sisters: Lois Wahrenburg, Theresa Nordwall, Lucille Melchert and stepsister, Sherry Haschke. She attended Academy of our Our Lady High School. Sandy will be lovingly missed by over twenty-five foster children who called her "Mom." Cremation Rites have been accorded with a Memorial Mass Scheduled for 11am Saturday, December 7th 2013 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Chillicothe with Fr. Chris Haake celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service.
