Sandra "Sandy" Jean Little, 71, of Congerville went Home to be with Jesus on September 12, 2024. Sandy was born on January 16, 1953, in Peoria IL to John and Verna (Wood) Gordon Jr. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1971. She married Dave Bishop in 1974, and together they raised three children. She later married Mickey Little in 1996, Together they ran M & S Security in Bloomington for several years. He preceded her in death in 2021. Surviving Sandy are her first husband - Dave; her children -Mindy (Chris) McReynolds; a stepdaughter, Jean Hidalgo and a son and daughter who wish not to be named; 13 grandchildren - Kody Stubblefield, Amber Renfrow, Blake and Logan Ensign, Brooke Sidders, Shawn and Hope Leininger, Julian and Adrian Hidalgo, Shelden Klesath, Eason Varner and two who wish not to be named; and two great-grandchildren - Rosie and Lucy Renfrow. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Kristen Mullins and Jason Bishop, to whom she had grown very close to in recent years. In addition to her husband, Mickey, Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother - Stan Gordon. Sandy loved shopping, camping and karaoke nights with her friends. She was happiest, however, when she was spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a heart for Christ and worshiped regularly with her church family at The Pasture in Hudson. Sandy often referred to The Pasture as her second home. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2024 at 11:00 at The Pasture. Visitation will be held an hour before the celebration.
