Sandra L. Holliday (McQuiston), 52, of Peoria died at Methodist Medical Center at 12:49pm on September 20, 2011. She was born March 30, 1959 in Peoria, IL to Betty and Melvin Holliday. She married Sam McQuiston July 25, 1981. Sandra was preceded in death by both of her parents and a sister, Tammy Holliday. Surviving are two daughters, Amanda Holliday of Wakefield, RI and Cassandra McQuiston of Peoria, IL. Also surviving is the father of her daughters, Sam McQuiston of Bath Springs, TN, two grandchildren Amoriana and Emonti, two brothers Eric Holliday of Missouri and Randall Holliday of Peoria, IL. She also leaves behind a dear aunt (Helen Loehr) and many friends that were like family to her. Sandra graduated from Northwest High School in House Springs, MO in 1977. She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. She was very artistic and loved working with her hands. For many years she made ceramics, woodwork, etc to give to those she cared about. She was a very caring and loving woman who enjoyed helping out others. Cremation rites have been accorded and memorial visitation is scheduled for Wednesday December 28, 2011 from 4pm until 7pm at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 401 Walnut St. Washington, IL In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a trust fund established at CEFCU for the benefit of Sandra's pride and joy, her two grandchildren Amoriana LaShae-McQuiston Reed and Emonti LeAlyn-McQuiston Reed.
