Sharon Lafollett

Sharon A. LaFollett, 78, of Brimfield, IL passed away at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria with her family by her side.

She was born on January 27, 1945, in Peoria, IL the daughter of Albert and Alice Sluga Jonas. Sharon graduated from Peoria High School. Later, she became a Registered Nurse through Methodist College of Nursing. She married Lyle LaFollett in Edwards, IL on April 20, 1968.

Surviving are her husband and their four children Michael (Luciane) LaFollett of East Peoria, IL, Carin (Dave) Purtle of Brimfield, IL, Lori (Ray) Vallas and Cadie (Jerry) Adkins of Yates City, IL. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Allyson (Zach) Terry, Joseph LaFollett, Grace (Miles) Danner, Sydney Purtle, Megan Vallas, Elizabeth Vallas, Benjamin Adkins, and Thomas Adkins. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Johnson.

Sharon loved her family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She had a great love of Elvis Presley's music and movies. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her so well.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Brimfield Evangelical Free Church in Brimfield, IL. A family and friends gathering will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Cremation rites have been accorded.
