Sheryl Rose Allen, 68, of Peoria, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, surrounded by her loving family.

On March 8, 1953, she was born to Altus and Doris (Taborn) Allen. Sheryl married Lewis Shelton on August 8, 1973.

Sheryl leaves her most precious memories to her three children; RoShima Shelton, Rose Shelton, and Lewis Shelton; seven grandchildren Sha 'Relle, Deja, Davion, Regina, Zan 'niah, Jerrica, and Jazzmin, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters Rhonda and Glenda Allen and Alice (Stewart) Thompson; two brothers, Zephrey (Amie) Allen and Alan Allen. Her parents and one brother Altus Allen Jr. preceded her in death.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private home-going service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL.
