Shirley Baker

Shirley Virginia Baker, aged 94, of Peoria, IL, gently departed from this world on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Farmington Village Nursing Home in Farmington, IL.

Born on March 26, 1931, in Peoria, she was the beloved daughter of Benjamin and Olive Maddox Ames. Shirley shared a loving marriage with William Baker, who has since passed, leaving behind fond memories. Shirley was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Mike Baker; a dear granddaughter; and three brothers and one sister, each of whom held a unique place in her heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia White of Peoria; her sons, Rick (Lynne) Baker of Arizona, John Baker of East Peoria, and Mark (Cathy) Baker of Tennessee. Her legacy continues through her eight cherished grandchildren and 16 adoring great-grandchildren.

While there will be no public services, Shirley's family will honor her life in a private celebration.
