Stanley T. Swedell

Stanley T. Swedell, 69, of Germantown Hills, IL formerly of Peoria, passed away at 1:06am Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria. He was born February 25, 1947 to Bernard F. and Mary M. (Thomson) Swedell. Surviving are his two daughters Ashlee (Carl) Licitra of Naperville, IL and Kimberly Otter of Cedar Rapids, IA; three grandchildren Lilly Otter, Aiden Licitra, and Amelie Licitra; and three sisters Esther Stone, Anne Richardson, and Joyce Korsta. Stanley was a graduate of Peoria Central High School and Millikin University. He spent two years in the U.S. Army Finance Corps from 1969 - 1971. After military service, he attended Chicago Kent College of Law before entering his sales career in the Paper Industry over 30 years. He was a member of Orchard Ridge Country Club, Ft. Wayne, IN, Sunset Country Club, Sumter, SC, Cress Creek Country Club, Naperville, IL, Kiwanis Club, Naperville, and Rotary Club, Sumter, SC. Stan spent the last twenty-one years with a great lady, Rose Horton, as they enjoyed family and vacationing in Hawaii and Clearwater Beach, FL. Cremation rites have been accorded.
