Stephen Dale Kirk, 66, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Stephen was born on April 22, 1955, in Peoria, a son of Ralph and Lola (Simmons) Kirk. They preceded him in death, along with a grandson, Cooper Bray and one sister.

He is survived by his children, Joseph Kirk of Peoria and Julie Galletti of Bartonville; brothers, James (Becky) Kirk of Bartonville and Darrell Kirk of Peoria; and grandchildren, Kaylee Kirk and Hayden and Lucas Kuhlman-Kirk and Ashleigh and Joseph Galletti.

Stephen retired from Keystone Steel and Wire Company in 2019, after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Stephen's Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's memory to Christian Children's Fund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Affordable Funeral and Cremation Services.
