Stephen T. Markley

Stephen Troy Markley (Smiley), 55, of Canton IL lost his 4 and half year battle with cancer on January 27th at 3:08pm in the company of his good friends Kim and Danny Lock. He was born Aug 22nd 1957 in Canton to Paul and Patricia Markley. Steve is survived by his son Tyson Markley of New York, NY; granddaughters Luna and Bella Markley of Farmington; 2 sisters, Becky Widger of Scurry TX and Trina Zaborac of Liberty MO. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Scott Markley and one sister Janet Myers. Steve spent the majority of his life working on and around farms. Whether driving a fuel truck for FS or wrangling livestock for the Sale Barn, Steve took pride in his work and took pleasure in contributing to the farming way of life. Steve was also a talented body man, restoring many antique tractors, cars and motorcycles. He found the greatest joy in life being close to nature, riding his Harley, and spending time with his close friends and family. Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013, beginning at 3pm at Billy's in Canton to Celebrate Steve's life.
