Steven Peris

Steven Marcus Peris, 59, of Morton passed away unexpectedly at 11:31pm Wednesday August 22, 2012 in the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on February 4, 1953 in Norfolk, VA the son of Marcus and Bessie Jordan Peris. He married Julie Mette on May 5th 1983 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife of Morton, his mother Bessie Peris, one brother Anthony Peris, and one sister Patricia Longworth all of Norfolk, VA. His father preceded him in death. He formerly worked for Wal-Mart in Morton for several years. He then worked for Kroger's Co. in Morton last working on Tuesday. He enjoyed music, cooking, and spending time with his family. At the request of Steven cremation rites will be accorded with with no services scheduled. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the OSF Charity Fund.
