Suzanne Lee Bouweraerts, 82, of Oglesby, Illinois, passed away at 12:31 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

Suzanne was born on October 5th, 1943, in South Bend, IN, to Robert and Georganne Stuart Oliver. She married Andrew Bouweraerts on February 10, 1979, in Santa Monica, California and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by many friends and cousins.

She proudly volunteered as a National disaster responder with the American Red Cross and was an active Republican Party volunteer for many years. A memorable highlight was receiving the Mary Rinaldi Award in 1993 from the La Salle County Republican Women's Club, recognizing her dedication and achievements.

Suzanne's passion for life was evident in everything she did. She approached each day with a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact on those around her. Her career was marked by dedication and excellence, but it was her personal interactions that truly defined her legacy. Suzanne's ability to listen, to empathize, and to offer wisdom was a gift that she freely gave to all.

Following her wishes, cremation has been accorded. Family and friends will hold a private memorial to honor her life and the unique person she was. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
