Thelma "Tj" Hoza

Thelma "T.J." Murray Hoza was born On December 11, 1961, in Jacksonville, FL, and passed away at home in Peoria, IL, on August 12, 2022. She spent most of her adult life in Houston, TX, and is survived by her four children: Suezen Salinas (Partner Julie), Theresa Hoza, Kelley Cantrell (Husband Tyler), and Matthew Hoza, before moving to Peoria.

The last few years while there, she was able to spend time with her sister Suezen Myers (Husband Ron), her children and grandchildren: Alicia, Valerie, Evan, and Corbin, and her other sister Angel Maher (Husband Paulie). She has three other sisters and several nieces and nephews in Florida.

She appreciated a good margarita with salt, romance novels, anything peach, action movies, and superheroes. Her favorite role was Nana to some of her favorite people, her grandchildren: James Connatser, Draden Salinas, Alice Cantrell, and Theodore "Teddy" Cantrell, who will be reminded of her enduring love and acceptance. We will remember, "What is grief if not love persevering?"

At T.J.'s request, there will not be a funeral service but rather a private family remembrance. Her ashes will be returned to the sea at a later date.
