Thomas Hunchusky

Thomas Hunchusky, 91, of Peoria, IL formerly of Dunlap, IL passed away peacefully at his home on April 20, 2021. Tom was born on October 14, 1929, in Antigo, Wisconsin, to Thomas and Madge (Spencer) Hunchusky. He married Phyllis Shank on June 06, 1953.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis and four children, Roger (Cindy) Hunchusky of Arlington, TX, Sue Gadde of Tucson, AZ, Cathy Cooley of Peoria, and Greg (Nancy) Hunchusky of Peoria. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Tom spent his career in the Insurance industry, eventually founding and operating his own business, Thomas Insurance Marketing. He served as past president of the Peoria County Board of Health and was a long-time member of the Peoria Rotary Club. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golf, watching the Chicago Cubs, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was of the Lutheran faith.
