Thomas Alan Murray

PEORIA... Thomas Alan Murray, 59, of Peoria, passed away at his home on Monday, July 7, 2014. Tom was born on October 21, 1954 in Peoria to Thomas Ray and Helen Elizabeth Roberts Murray. He married Sherry Morgan in Washington in 1980. Sherry survives. Also surviving is one precious daughter, Samantha Kathleen Murray; one loving grandson, Eli Fletcher Murray and one sister, Elizabeth "Diane" (Jon) Adkins, all of Peoria and many nieces and nephews whom he also loved. Tom had retired from Caterpillar in 2007. After his retirement Tom continued to work for Liberty Village and Home Depot in Peoria. He was also a member of UAW Local 974. A private memorial service for Tom will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials for Tom may be directed to Morton Community Bank for the Eli Murray Education Fund.
