Thomas E. Welker

Thomas E. Welker, 66, of Maquon, IL passed away unexpectedly at 8:34pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Emergency Room of OSF St. Marys Hospital in Galesburg. He was born on July 20, 1948 in Canton the son of the late Harold E. and Dorothy L. Murphy Welker. He married Maxine Reynolds on November 2, 1973. She passed on December 24, 2010. Surviving are one daughter Tammy Bergstralh of Fairbury, IL. Also surviving are six grandchildren Jayde, Tyler, Braden, Abigail, Avery and Mylee as well as one great granddaughter Austyn. Further surviving are 3 brothers, Butch (Linda) Welker, of Farmington,Mike (Maxine) Welker of Canton, and Evan (Cheryl) Welker of Bone Gap, IL. and one sister, Brenda Jacobs of Bartonville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran proudly serving his country from 1969 until his honorable discharge in January of 1975. He then worked at Komatsu Dresser for over 30 years retiring in 2008. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled.
