Tim Tipton

Timothy M. Tipton, 59, of Peoria passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the Emergency Room at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born on November 30, 1954 in Peoria the son of Henry and Julia Cage Tipton. He married Sheri K. Potter on November 10, 1997 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, one son Kensley (Teresa) Wade of Atlanta, GA; two daughters Nicole Tipton of Peoria and Brandy Tipton of Washington. Also surviving are his mother of Peoria, four grandchildren, two brothers Steve (Cheryl) Tipton of Creve Coeur, Henry (Debra) Tipton of Peoria and one sister Robin (Bill) Magnes of Charleston, MO. His father preceded him in death.

Tim enjoyed many things in life including his dogs, princess and baby girl but especially loved spending time with his family. He was very giving and compassionate to all he touched. Tim was a loving father husband and will be missed every day.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a memorial service scheduled for 1:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Community Worship Center 121 State St. in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service. A celebration of Tim's life will then be at the Veterans Club 2525 NE Adams St in Peoria from 2pm until 7pm. Memorials may be given to the family to be given to a charity of their choice.
