Todd A. Lockhart, 62, of Peoria Heights, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born on October 4, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of David and Rosemary Heminger Lockhart. He married Cherie Settles on October 16, 1999, and together they welcomed a son named Joshua. After some time, they decided to go their separate ways and divorced.

Surviving are one son, Joshua Lockhart of Galesburg, Illinois; three brothers, Allan (Laurie) Oglesby of Chillicothe, Illinois; Tyson (Lisa) Lockhart of Trivoli, Illinois; and Robert (Julie) Lockhart of Princeville. Also surviving are three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Limestone High School in 1981 and worked in the construction industry, dedicating many years to auto sales at Benedict’s Auto Sales in Peoria, Illinois. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and going on long drives, which brought him so much joy. He was a passionate Chicago Bears Football fan, always excited to watch the games and cheer for his team.
