Virginia Scott

Virginia Scott made her transition to the Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Fondulac Nursing Home in East Peoria, Illinois. She was born in Chillicothe, Illinois on May 21, 1931 to Julian Barragan and Sofia Lopez-Ordaz. Virginia spent the last 30 years working in the banking industry in Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. Previous to that, she was owner-operator of a drapery business in San Antonio, Texas. She was loved by 33 of her nieces and nephews and leaves behind nine siblings including Olivia Geraci (Tom), Paula Board (Ben), Paul Delgado (Mary), Liz Mercer, Rosemarie Copple, Michele Rector (Tim), Chris Waugh (Mike), Leola Downey, stepsister and Phil Ordaz, stepbrother. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Lupita Delgado, Paulie Delgado, Fernando Edmund Ordaz, stepbrother and Fernando Ordaz, stepfather. Private services were held at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Illinois with burial at the Chillicothe Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and the Fondulac Nursing Home.
