Wendal Wayne Chambliss, 81, passed away at 2:17 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at his home in North Pekin, IL.

He was born on December 15, 1944, in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Chambliss and Rose Sled Chambliss.

He is survived by children Tiffany (Hal) Tarr and Jeff (Tracy) Chambliss; grandchildren: Jordan Kieffer (Joshua), Danielle (Daniel) Davidson, Haley Harris, and Derek Chambliss; great-grandchildren Henry and Samuel Davidson; and longtime roommate Sherry Breeden.

In accordance with Wendal's wishes, cremation will be accorded. His family will privately celebrate his life. He will be truly missed by all, and his presence will be dearly cherished in our hearts.
