Wendell Rosene

Wendell Oscar T. Rosene Jr. of Benson, IL died March 17, 2012 in Advocate Bro-Menn Medical Center in Normal, IL. He was born on May 17, 1957 in Belvidere, IL to Wendell and Irene Rosene. He was a 1975 graduate of Belvidere High School. He entered the US Army in 1982 and served In Germany. He spent his most recent years in Central Illinois in the area of El Paso. He was a quiet and private man with a love of horses. He was always ready to give his testimony to talk of his love for his Savior. Wendell is now at peace in heaven with our lord. If tears could build a stairway and memories a Lane I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. He is survived by his daughter, Aileen Castro, granddaughter Hailee Renee' Harsh, his mother Irene Rosene, sister Vera Sue Totz (Ronald) of Poplar Grove, IL, brothers Herb Rosene (FiancAC.e Cindy Williams) of Roscoe, IL and Daniel Rosene (Erica) of Rockford, IL. One niece Danielle Rosene, step-nephew Derik Johnson, of Rockford, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had numerous friends in the Central Illinois whom took him into their hearts and homes. His father, one nephew Jacob Aaron Rosene and grandparents preceded him in death. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church 198 North Cherry Street in El Paso, IL on April 7, 2012 at 11:00am. At a later date there will be a private service held for family in the Belvidere and Rockford area.
