William F. Joyce

William F. Joyce, 68, of Peoria passed away at 2:10am, Monday, June 22, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on January 11, 1947 in Peoria the son of William E. and Jean Kauffman Joyce. He married Roberta Smith on August 21, 1965. She passed away August 21, 1978 in Peoria. Surviving are his children Sheila (Bill) Doering of Creve Coeur; Laura Henry of Pekin; William Joyce and Kellie Joyce both of Peoria. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. One son Daniel Joyce, his parents, one brother, one sister and his long time companion Shirley Sumner preceded him in death. Bill was a retired meat cutter. He was an avid baseball fan and his favorite Major League Team was the St. Louis Cardinals. He had many enjoyments in life including fishing and camping at the Chillicothe Recreation Center. Cremation rites have been accorded. A time to celebrate Bill's life will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Reba's Mutual Tap, 2923 NE Adams St in Peoria beginning at 1pm.
