William Martin Snyder, 85, of Pekin, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Unity Point Proctor in Peoria, IL. On October 4, 1936, he was born in Peoria to Isaac and Mildred Matheny Snyder.

His parents, one brother Robert, wives Marlene and Carol, and his beloved Rebecca Simmons all preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Kathleen Robinson of Lacon, Jennifer (Mike) Thompson of Green Valley, Clinton (Kimberly) Snyder of Mississippi, and Eunice Bazhenow of Marquette Heights. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren;  two sisters, Evelyn (Curtis) Rowden of Hanna City, Judy (Carl) Tipton of Hanna City, and one brother Steven (Pearl) Snyder of Bellevue.

He was a U.S.  Army Veteran and retired from the teamsters as a truck driver. He also worked and oversaw the bar at American Legion Post 44 in Pekin, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held after the holidays.  Memorial donations or contributions can be made to The American Legion 718 Court St, Pekin, IL 61554.
