Carol A. Swank

Carol Ann Swank, 78, of Peoria, IL passed away on August 11, 2021, at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria surrounded by her very loving family. She was born in Peoria, on March 23, 1943. She married Don Swank on August 22, 1981. He passed away on June 3, 2012. Her parents, Ed and Maggie (Weaver) Frisk and one grandson Cody Collier also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Stephen (Christy) Collier of Pekin and one stepson, Kenneth (Celeste) Swank of Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Rachelle Smith (Nate), Tyler Collier and Ryan Collier of Pekin, Kelsey (Joey) Klaus of Morton, Karina (Ben) Orr of Florida and Kris (Theresa) Swank of Seattle, WA. Six great grandchildren and her precious dog, Shay, also survive.  

Carol cherished being the wife and homemaker of her loving husband Don. She also loved creating a beautiful lawn and gardens. She loved and was loved by all her family. Her favorite quote was "In a Perfect World, every home would have a dog and every dog would have a home."

Mom and Grandma, you are loved and will forever be missed. Your spirit will live throughout every one of us that have loved you forever. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life for both Carol and Don will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, beginning at 1:00 pm in their backyard.
