PEORIA— Carol “Jeannie” Pilkington, 74, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 9, 1946, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Carroll and Imogene (Swearinger) Mooberry.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Larry Pilkington, are her sons, Timothy (Julie) Irons of East Peoria, IL, Lanny (Lisa) Irons of Bowling Green, KY, Wayne (Donna) Irons of Camden, OH, David (Ronda) Irons of Washington, IL, two sons Tony Pilkington, Jody Pilkington; one daughter, Amy Hall all of Indiana. Further surviving are 44 grandchildren; 99 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dave “Sparky” (Jeni) Mooberry of East Peoria; two sisters, Cindy (Fred) Jones St. David, IL; Barb Schoch of Peoria.
Jeannie was most passionate about her family and her fur baby, Little Bit. Jeannie she had a way of making everyone feel like family. Visitors could expect a warm meal and good conversation. She was always cooking or baking something. She enjoyed adding new décor to her home and working in her flowerbeds. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. There will be a life celebration held at The Eagles Club, 1704 South East Lane in Peoria on March 27, 2021 at beginning at 2:00 pm.
