Charles Pennock Obituary

CREVE COEUR - Charles Allen Pennock, 62, of Creve Coeur, IL, passed away at 7:37 am Friday, September 10, 2021, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.  On July 20, 1959, he was born in Peoria, the son of Rolan and Hazel Graddy Pennock.

Surviving are his sons Christopher Pennock and Andrew Pennock of Jacksonville, FL, his mother, Hazel Pennock, three sisters Dorothy Pennock, Ruth (Fred) Woods, and Terri (Greg) Blum; one brother Keith (Debbie) Pennock. His father and one sister Malinda Pennock preceded him in death.

Charles was a proud member of the U.S. Armed Forces.  He defended the United States as an Electricians Mate First Class with the U.S. Navy.  He received numerous awards and commendations.  He was a master wood craftsman, beloved father, son, and brother.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Peoria Church of the Nazarene, 5504 N. University St in Peoria.  There will be no visitation. He will receive Military Honors at the Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria immediately following the church service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Richard L.
