Christopher "Chris" Alan Taylor

Christopher (Chris) Alan Taylor, 37, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 10:16 pm on Friday, December 4, 2020.

He was born on June 17, 1983 in Peoria, IL, to Robert James and Carrie Marie (Swift) Taylor. He married Erin E. Rickey on October 8, 2016 in Peoria, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Erin of Peoria; daughter, Everette Taylor; son, Stanley Taylor; father, Robert (Karen) Taylor of Bartonville; mother, Carrie (Keith Guard) Swift of Plano, IL; brother Nick Caldarone of Plano; maternal grandmother, Joann Swift of Yorkville, IL; sisters Kate (Matt) Mulford of Washington, IL, and Jenn (Nate) Pelosi of East Peoria, IL.

Chris worked as a contract employee for PHD Services, in the IT department at Caterpillar – a job he loved and aspired to for years.

Through his life he lived in Pekin, IL, Roanoke, VA, Kansas City, MO, and Peoria, IL. Family and friends have experienced a great loss of a very special and unique loved one. Chris loved his family, friends, job, computers, animals, and especially his wife and two babies. He was the type of person to drop everything to help a friend who needed a hand.

A private Family service was held and cremation was accorded per his wishes. Due to COVID concerns, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to SAMS animal shelter in Hanna City, IL, made in Chris’s memory, would be appreciated.
