Cornelius J. "Corn" Dixson, 43, of Peoria, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on February 12, 1980 in Mississippi to the late Sam Dixson Sr. and Sallie Mae Williams.

Raised in Macomb, IL, Corn grew up in a bustling household with his mother, step-father Jack Huston, sister Marsha Johnson, and four brothers: Craig (Stephanie) Dixson, Fred (Venessa) Dixson, Kevin Dixson, and Sam (Jenica) Dixson. He also shared a close bond with his other siblings, Sherry (James) Hazel, Anthony (Cindy) Dixson, and Mamey Lee Dixson. The Dixson household was always filled with laughter and love, and Corn was often at the heart of it, his favorite color, red, reflecting his vibrant personality and zest for life.

Corn had many passions, but his family was always at the forefront. He was close to his mother, with whom he spent many years and visited often. His loyalty extended to his brothers, always ready to lend a hand or offer support when needed. Although he did not have children of his own, Corn was a proud uncle who cherished his role in the lives of his nieces and nephews.
