David Charles Mitchell, 51, of Pekin, IL formerly of Burlington, IA, passed away at 8:17 am, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at his residence.

Dave was born on December 31, 1970, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Elmer and Dorothy Sabins Mitchell. His parents and two brothers, Michael and Elmer Mitchell, preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons Kyle Mitchell of Williamsburg, IA, Levi Stevens, and Dustin Mitchell, both of Mt. Pleasant, IA; one daughter Kaylan Mitchell of Danville, IA. Also, surviving are four grandchildren, his twin sister Tina Mace, sister Kathy Mitchell and one brother Gary Mitchell all of Burlington, IA.

David loved everything outdoors including fishing, and camping. He especially enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. He did many building projects and was an all-around handyman.  Dave did wonderful work and was proud of it.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
