Dionna L. Fugate-Roy

Dionna L. Fugate-Roy, 45, of Hanna City, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Monday, June 11, 2018.

She was born on September 29, 1972 in Peoria, the daughter of James V. and Peggy L. Burton Fugate. She married Joseph V. Roy on August 13, 2011.

Surviving are her husband, her father of Hanna City, one daughter Sheay Bowen of West Peoria, IL. Also surviving are four grandchildren Landen, Kamdin, Terreon and Kynsleigh. Further surviving are one brother Clif Fugate of Hanna City, IL, four sisters; Shonya Bowen of Texas, Amanda Fugate of Peoria, IL, Amber Fugate of Metamora, IL and Amy Hoops of Georgia. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with her best friend of 25 years Erin Faw of Bartonville also survive Dionna. Preceding her in death was her mother and one brother James V. Fugate Jr.

She worked for over 20 years at Avanti’s Restaurant mainly at the Rockwood location. Dionna enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family and friends, and simply having a good time and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A time to celebrate Dionna’s life will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018, beginning at noon at her home, 11908 W. Farmington Rd, in Hanna City.
