Don Satchfield

Don Satchfield, a man of great love, friendliness, and thoughtfulness, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Born on July 6, 1940, to Charles and Eva (Burchell) Satchfield, Don lived a life filled with joy, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to his family and faith.

Don's life was marked by a deep and enduring love story. On September 16, 1977, he married his soulmate, Irene (Ledford), in Peoria, Illinois. Their bond was one of mutual respect, admiration, and an unshakeable commitment to each other. Irene survives him, carrying their shared memories in her heart.

Don's legacy continues through his beloved daughter, Vickie (Rick) Baldwin of Washington, IL. His love and wisdom will live on in his grandchildren, Sydney Haven of Littleton, CO; Arin (Carah) Haven of Washington, IL; Zachary Haven of North Pekin, IL; Nick (Amber) Baldwin of Denver, CO, and Steven (Libby) Baldwin of Westervelt, IL. His great-grandchildren, Jayda, Amia, Emmy Haven, Franklin Baldwin, and Cain and Dean Baldwin, will remember him as a loving and caring great-grandfather. Don is also survived by his two sisters, Charlene of Arizona and Nel of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Don was a man of great character, known for his friendly demeanor and thoughtful nature. His kindness was infectious, and he had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. He was a pillar of his community, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
