Donna (Stafford) Stocksiek

Donna J. (Stafford) Stocksiek, 91, of Creve Coeur, IL, went to Heaven at 11:00 PM, Friday, December 24, 2021, at her home. On July 4, 1930, she was born in Peoria, Il. to Harry and Marie Stafford. She married John (Bud) Stocksiek on September 25, 1953. Her husband, parents, and one brother, Jerry Stafford, preceded her in death. 

Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (Jack) Gerber of Bloomington, IL. and one son, Stephen (Heidi) Stocksiek of Morton Il.   Also surviving are her grandchildren; Michelle (Joe) Gerber-Skala, Mike (Katie) Gerber, Bethany (Mile) Petkovic`, Abby (Jeff) Schmidgall, Adam Stocksiek, and Joey Stocksiek; along with nine great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law Sandy Stafford.

Donna was a 1948 graduate of Manual High School. She was a homemaker; and worked various jobs, including being an Avon representative for over 40 years. She worked at Lloyd’s Jewelry for many years. 

She was a devoted Christian who attended church her whole life. She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a founding member of Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur. She recently has been attending Creve Coeur Christian Church. She was actively involved with Great Oaks Camp, founded by her late brother Jerry.

Donna loved working in her yard and garden, shopping, and she especially loved spending time with her beloved family.  

A private committal service with family and close friends will be observed in the chapel at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Rev. John Plunkett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Great Oaks Camp, 1380 County Road 900 N., Lacon, Il., 61540.
