Everett "Al" Lightle

Everett Allan "Al" Lightle of Peoria, IL, passed away at 2:18 am on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 2, 1938, the son of Everett and Constance (Cook) Lightle. He married his lovely bride Linda Rutledge on March 7, 1958, in Bryant, IL.

Al was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife, Linda, and three sons, Steve (Michelle), Dave (Johanna), and Jeff. He is a loving Grandfather to his Grandkids, Hanna, Everett, Amanda, Nate, Nicole, Hayden, Carmen, Dana, and Great Grandkids, Dexton, Copeland, and Huck. One sister Patricia (Milt) Ketcham, and one brother Shelby (Norma) Lightle, also survive. His parents and one brother, Ed (Lucy) Lightle, preceded him in death.

Al loved hunting with his dog Roscoe and fishing in Minnesota. He spent most of his career holding numerous roles at Oak State Products, retiring in 2000 as the Vice President of Operations. There was always one common theme whenever someone met Al; they always walked away, commenting on how he was such a genuinely nice guy. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who met him.
