Gloria Ing

Gloria J. Ing, 70, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:17 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at River Crossing of Peoria. She was born on October 26, 1952, in Pekin the daughter of Charles and Phyllis Parnham Calhoun.  Gloria married Stanton “Stan” Ing on April 25, 1986, in North Pekin and he passed away on November 14, 2018. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandra Nafziger.

Surviving is one daughter Laura (Tony) Pawelczak; one son James Smith both of Pekin; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one sister Connie (Jerry) Reynolds of Pekin.

Gloria had a deep love for Bingo, often seen with a dauber in hand, eyes sparkling with anticipation. She also found solace in the quiet moments, engrossed in a good book or working on a challenging puzzle. Her love for country and gospel music was profound, with "Amazing Grace" holding a special place in her heart.

A collector of angels, she believed in their protective presence. She enjoyed football and supporting her local Pekin Dragons and the New Orleans Saints, cheering them on with passion. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her camping trips with her beloved husband, Stan. These trips were a testament to their adventurous spirit and enduring love.

Gloria's faithful companion, Bullet, was never far from her side. Their bond was a testament to her nurturing nature. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted follower of her church community.
