PEKIN- Jack S. Clark, 72, passed away on August 12, 2020, at Amy’s Country Manor in Pekin. He was born in Peoria, Illinois to Howard and Inez (Gatlin) Clark in July 1948.
He married Beverly Lance on August 19, 1967. She survives along with his daughter Janet (Drew) Johnson of Pekin, and their daughters Lauren and Kaylee, and son Jay Clark of Tremont, and his children, Avory, Anderson (AJ), and Alanea. Also, surviving are his sister Delores (Roger) Weddle of Cordova, Tennessee, and his two brothers Gary (Carole) Clark of Saginaw, Michigan, and David (Carol) Clark of Chillicothe, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. His parents and granddaughter Courtney Johnson preceded him in death.
Jack served proudly in the United States Air Force between 1968-1972. Over the years he worked for Carver Lumber in Peoria, WABCO/Komatsu in Peoria, Miller Builders in Chillicothe, and Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America in Normal, Illinois before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing, and watching his children and grandchildren participate in their school events and sports. They were his pride and joy.
In his final months, he was compassionately cared for by Compassus Hospice of Peoria, Illinois, and the amazing staff and management at Amy’s Country Manor in Pekin, IL.
Cremation rites and arrangements have been accorded through Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. There will be a private family burial and celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of his grandchildren’s education to any PNC bank location in memory of Jack S. Clark, account ending in 7638.
