James D. Anderson

James "Jim" Donald Anderson, 68, of East Peoria, IL passed peacefully at home on Friday March 18, 2022, surrounded by his family. 

Jim was a U.S. Citizen, born abroad on September 11, 1953, in Stuttgart, Germany to Kathleen & Roger Anderson. Jim married the love of his life Mildred Leann Strange on November 14, 1981. She passed away on February 20, 2014.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and a son in law.

Surviving are his 4 children: Steve (Lindsay) Anderson of Lincoln, IL; Michelle (Kendall) Kelley of East Peoria, IL; Eric (Tammy) Anderson of Monmouth, IL; Kim (Chad) Kramer of North Pekin, IL.  Along with 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. 

He worked in the trucking and transportation industry for over 30 years.

Jim’s family was his life; however, he was also an avid lover of St. Louis Cardinals baseball, betting on horse racing, and bowling. Jim was a simple man who will be remembered for his caring nature, and love for his family.  In the days before his passing, he was a jokester and made everyone laugh during this hard time.

Honoring his wishes, Jim is being cremated, and inurnment of his remains will be at Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth, IL. His family will announce plans for a graveside service to send him home.
