James Holt Obituary

James L. Holt, 80, of Pekin passed away peacefully at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020, at his residence.

He was born February 28, 1939 in Peoria the son of Harold L and Lily Bell Russell Holt. Surviving are 3 three nieces, two nephews and host of cousins. His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

A U.S. Army Veteran he was stationed at for three years at Fort Lewis, located near Tacoma, WA before his honorable discharge. After returning to Illinois, he worked for Keystone Steel & Wire retiring after 42 years. Jim enjoyed music, riding his motorcycle and going out to dinner with his many friends.

At Jim’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be scheduled. He request that any memorials be given to Salvation Army, 401 NE Adams St. Peoria, IL 61602 or to the DAV-Heart of Illinois #1, 110 E. McClure Ave, Peoria, IL 61603.
