James V. "Jim" McClain, 64, of Bellevue, Il, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
On July 20, 1957, he was born to Joseph N. and Loretta A. (Loser Wayne) McClain. He is survived by his brother Michael (Susan) McClain of Mapleton, IL; two sisters, Shelly McClain of Bartonville, IL, and Shawna McClain of Bellevue, IL along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his mother, Loretta, and brother Douglas.
He was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church, where he attended school and served as an Altar Boy. He was a member of the 1975 Graduating Class at Limestone Community High School. He worked for Hiram Walkers for a short time. He then worked out of the Laborers Union Local 165. When Jim's mother developed cancer, he retired early so he could help take of her, 2 ½ years before her passing on June 17, 2019.
Jim will be remembered for helping any friend when they needed anything. Jim loved the freedom of being outdoors. He enjoyed taking his beagle dogs for long walks in the park and going hunting with his friends. Jim loved going deer and mushroom hunting with his Dad. We are sure he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria, IL.
